Frequently asked questions

How do KDP templates differ from textbook style packs?

A KDP template is a finished book file set built to Amazon KDP paperback specs (interior PDF, cover PDF, Word source) that you edit in Word. A textbook style pack is a design system for print textbooks that you build from an HTML manuscript with the included tools.

Do I need design software?

For KDP templates, Microsoft Word is enough. Textbook packs use a Python-based build tool (WeasyPrint) that runs on Windows, macOS and Linux.

How do the English and Korean editions differ?

The same design, typeset for each language. Korean editions use Hangul fonts (Pretendard, Noto and others) and Korean typesetting rules; English editions use Latin OFL fonts and English labels. Each edition is sold separately.

Do they really meet KDP specs?

Trim, margins, bleed, spine width, cover size, barcode area and font embedding were checked automatically against the values on the official KDP help pages. Still, check the KDP previewer before you publish.

What does “Planned” mean?

A product or style that has no files yet. It cannot be bought, and the release order may change.

Can I use the fonts in commercial books?

Yes. Every font is licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, so you can embed them in PDFs and sell the books. Selling the font files on their own is not allowed.

Can I get a refund?

Digital goods are generally non-refundable, but contact us within 14 days if there is a problem with the files. See the terms (draft).
